Recap: After nearly two weeks of unemployment, Peter decides to begin a new career as a fisherman, but faces problems when he has to pay off a boat loan. Meanwhile, Lois takes Meg to the beach for spring break, but Lois ends up having more fun than Meg.

My take: FRICKIN SWEET!

The show starts and holy cow Peter is fat and gets confused for the planet Mercury

Great line… “Wilson!… My name is Voit dumbass!”

ARe you going to miss me…. only until I go to a news stand and buy a hustler.

Episode Recap: Blind Ambition

Season 4, Episode 3: Blind Ambition

Recap: After Quagmire rescues a woman who collapsed from a heart attack, Peter does whatever he can to achieve something he’ll be remembered for. His ambitions, however, ultimately cost him his eyesight. Meanwhile, the Giant Chicken from “Da Boom” returns to challenge Peter to a rematch.

My take: Fricking Great!

Peter and the chicken go at it in one of the best fight scenes in cartoon history that includes a car collision, a train sequence, a cliff dive, a cruise ballroom to boiler room fall, which leads to the cruise ship crashing into a pier, the city, the airport, and the grand finale a grizzly airplane propeller ending.

Season 4, Episode 2: Fast Times at Buddy Cianci, Jr. High

Recap: Brian becomes a substitute English teacher, but is transferred to a class for troubled teens, and charges himself with helping them out with life in general. Meanwhile, Chris is attracted to Brian’s replacement teacher who, once she becomes aware of this, wants him to murder her husband so they can be together.

My take: Despite the storyline dealing with murder, this happens to be a great episode. For example:

I love Dodgeball, heads up
I love Bundt cake, heads up
I love the Trombone, heads up

Episode Recap: Boys Do Cry

Season 5, Episode 15: Boys Do Cry

Recap: The family starts going to church when Lois gets a job as an organist, but Stewie gets sick off of Communion wine, which convinces the congregation that he’s possessed. The Griffins then move to Texas, where Peter becomes a cowboy, Stewie enters the “Little Miss Texas” pageant and Chris and Meg sneak into President Bush’s ranch.

My take:

A truly great episode!

The Griffins move to Texas! They’re all backward and politically stubborn as a mule. Shouldn’t they have used stubborn as an Elephant.

Season 3, Episode 3: Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington

Recap: The toy factory at which Peter works is taken over by a cigarette company who hires Peter as the new president. He is then sent to Washington, D.C. as a lobbyist so they can create toys that encourage kids to smoke, and the entire family can’t help but enjoy the perks that come with the job.

My take:

You need to be in the right mood to watch this episode. It’s good but you need to be in the right mood. There are two themes - killing strippers and smoking.

Recap: Peter’s boss, Mr. Weed, dies during a dinner with the Griffin family, and the toy factory is demolished as a result. Now unemployed, and failing to find himself other jobs, Peter decides to live his dream of being a Renaissance fair jouster.

My take: Not one of the best. Some memorable scenes include Margot Kidder comes over for dinner and goes ballistic, and again and again.

“It sure beats my job at the Electric Company.”

My take: Grizzly Adams lives with a bear named Ben and hangs out with a guy named… Steve?

Brian and Peter go to a laser rock show. If you’ve never been to one, go. They’re actually quite cool.

Episode Recap: Peterotica

Season 4, Episode 24: Peterotica

Recap: After reading an erotica book that he thought was bad, Peter writes a collection of his own, leading to Lois’s father, Carter, to lose his money. Unable to cope with their middle-class lives, Peter and Carter set all differences aside and team up to get rich quick. Meanwhile, Stewie trains for the Olympics.

My take: This is a  classic!

Quagmire takes the crew to his favorite porn shop where Carol Burnett works part-time as a janitor.

Stewie does gymnastics and pole vault and eventually a floor exercise which leads to an accidental but not lethal glass would.

Episode Recap: The Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Season 5, Episode 11: The Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Recap: Peter ends up beating up a bully who’s been harassing Chris, soon realizing that bullying is fun and ending up becoming a bully himself until Chris stands up to him. Meanwhile, Stewie becomes obsessed with getting a tan, though he ends up getting a nasty sunburn and fears he’s developed skin cancer.

My take:

One of the better episodes from Season 5. Quagmire goes ape shit on the golf course. This is the second time we’ve seen him go a little batty over the dumbest things - he went a little crazy when the crew never heard of Wings.
