Season 4, Episode 3: Blind Ambition

Recap: After Quagmire rescues a woman who collapsed from a heart attack, Peter does whatever he can to achieve something he’ll be remembered for. His ambitions, however, ultimately cost him his eyesight. Meanwhile, the Giant Chicken from “Da Boom” returns to challenge Peter to a rematch.

My take: Fricking Great!

Peter and the chicken go at it in one of the best fight scenes in cartoon history that includes a car collision, a train sequence, a cliff dive, a cruise ballroom to boiler room fall, which leads to the cruise ship crashing into a pier, the city, the airport, and the grand finale a grizzly airplane propeller ending.

We learn Cleveland was once a fast talking auctioneer but gets hit on the head and he…. starts… to… talk… slow… ly…

Gary the No Trash Cougar makes an appearance. He’s Great!

The Snap, Crackle and Pop from Rice Crispies battle the Keebler Elves and lose.

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman make an appearance.

Why is this episode called Blind Ambition? Peter eats coins, goes blind, and sleeps with Chris, gets a seeing eye dog named Brutus, saves Horace the bartender from the Drunken Clam and becomes a hero with a Star Wars ending.
